This is probably one of my favourite Neil Young songs, but I confess to not knowing really what it is about. I did some research on it years ago, but never came up with anything conclusive. Any thoughts?
I think it’s about the confrontation with death – suddenly, almost spontaneously and what would go through your mind. Neil Young originally wrote it for someone else (can’t recall who) but ended up using it himself.
