Does your bus know Jesus?

There’s been a few fairly boilerplate responses to the Atheist Bus campaign and its slogan, “There’s probably no God. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.” A number of groups have said the ads are offensive, a few have planned counter-ads. I certainly didn’t find it all that terrible, most of what Benny Hinn does is more offensive to Christianity than this very tentatively-worded print ad. I have read other perspectives that suggest one of two things – that people should stop worrying because there is a God and that people should continue to worry because, well, there’s plenty to still be worried about.

I think the correct Christian response is to hold both joy and worry in tension. We have reason to be joyful but also reason to be worried.
