The Secular, err, Middle

This graph of political affiliation and prayer in the US is interesting:

I’m not sure what this means. Some have pointed out that there is a possible correlation between political and religious certainty, others have said that it’s a function of US demographics where religious whites are very much organized by the GOP and religious blacks by the Dems. Anyway, it’s an interesting counterpoint to the old religious = right, secular = left dichotomy that one sees, well, everywhere.
