A little interlude to the discussion

A good discussion on inerrancy has begun due to the past few posts I put up. In that discussion, the issue of logical contradictions came up.

On my other blog (now defunct) I posted on this issue a few years ago. I came across an old JETS article from 1987 by philosopher David Basinger who argued against theologians who claimed that the biblical text had “apparent contradictions” in it. I then posted on an article of a contradictory nature by John Frame who argued (using the thought of Cornelius Van Til) that orthodox Christian thought has to make room for paradox and apparent contradictions.

I sided with Van Til. Who do you side with and why?
